Manav Subodh (Co-founder of 1 Million for 1 Billion)

The session will  provide information about how interested Stanford students may engage with community leadership and health programs in India.  will talk about the initiatives launched by 1 Million for 1 Billion (1M1B)Aligned to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), 1M1B's mission is to activate 1 million people who will impact 1 billion people. 1M1B creates jobs, undertakes income enhancement and wellness initiatives for under-served communities by engaging urban young leaders and startups. More information about 1M1B's efforts and Manav's work is available in this Forbes article. The conversation will be moderated by Professor S.V. Mahadevan (Stanford School of Medicine).

Manav Subodh  is co-founder of 1 Million for 1 Billion (1M1B) and Director of UC Berkeley Executive Education's Innovation Acceleration Group, where he works on projects concerning artificial intelligence, aviation, and smart cities. Previously, he led Intel Corporation's entrepreneurship initiative in over 30 countries and also worked for Ernst and Young (EY), Hughes and QAI. In 2015-17, Manav was appointed as Senior Fellow at UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business, and in 2016 as the Garwood Innovation Fellow with UC Berkeley's Corporate and Open Innovation Center, where he led Smart Village Initiative in India.
