Join us for a webinar with Thenmozhi Soundararajan, Visiting Fellow in the Center for South Asia and Executive Director of Equality Labs, and Kavita Devi, CEO at Chambal Media and Co-Founder of Khabar Lahariya. The conversation will be in Hindi and English, with translation provided by Anubha Anushree, Ph.D. recipient from the Department of History at Stanford University, and Saanvi Chawla.

About the Speakers

Thenmozhi Soundararajan is a Dalit American commentator on religion, race, caste, gender, technology and justice. She is the Executive Director of Equality Labs and the author of The Trauma of Caste. She is also a visiting fellow at the Center for South Asia at Stanford University.

Kavita Devi is the CEO at Chambal Media & Co-Founder of Khabar Lahariya, She is Bundelkhand’s first Dalit woman anchor to host her own news and views weekly, The Kavita Show. Kavita brings with her several years of field reporting, having started out as a reporter herself, and often reports on special stories even today. Viewed as a formidable figure of inspiration and empowerment locally, especially for women, Kavita is also a TED speaker.
